Yeah, sure. That's no loss against the current situation.zer0 wrote:Presumably, this would mean that people who wish to add several extensions at once would only be able to add them to one content category at a time. Re: Tough words about GUI
On my Win 7 machine, I use a custom visual style (VS) called Crescendo (http://giannisgx89.deviantart.com/art/C ... -164159242). What I would like is for XY's GUI to play nice with it, namely the tabs. On a standard Aero theme (and probably on XP too, but haven't checked), there's a thin -- 1 or 2 pix -- white line separating background tabs from the list area. This thin white line may be difficult to spot with default tab headers being so grey, but on such a bright-coloured VS the white line is clearly visible on mouseover and looks quite inappropriate -- underlined in red below.
Likewise, it appears that right edge of the tab immediately to the left of the active one isn't painted, but the left edge of the tab immediately to the right is painted -- both circled in blue below. The default Aero theme has current tab overlapping both edges -- that's something I quite dislike. Tabs should just move from/to background/foreground without having to encroach on others

Re: Tough words about GUI
Interesting. Your theme does the same as XY does: increase the space between the tabs by one pixel. This adds up to 2 pixels and starts looking bad. I'll look at it...zer0 wrote:On my Win 7 machine, I use a custom visual style (VS) called Crescendo (http://giannisgx89.deviantart.com/art/C ... -164159242). Re: Tough words about GUI
Really surprising, but it looks as if my tabs had a 1-pixel extra gap between them over all those years. I removed the gap. Thanks!admin wrote:Interesting. Re: Tough words about GUI
Looking better -- thank you for that -- but the active tab is still eager to encroach on its left neighbour a little bit. On default style, encroaching is even between active tab's left and right tabs. Also, what of the peculiar on-hover colouring of inactive tabs?admin wrote:Really surprising, but it looks as if my tabs had a 1-pixel extra gap between them over all those years. I removed the gap. What do you mean with "peculiar on-hover colouring"?

Re: Tough words about GUI
In my first screenshot above, do you see how the orange doesn't quite fill the whole tab? I suspect this is because of a one pixel white line that runs all the way along the tabs (underlined in red in that screenshot). There is no such white line when using XYplorer on XP.admin wrote:What do you mean with "peculiar on-hover colouring"?
