P.S. I remembered that we voted (http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2781) and CHM came up trumps. There was some discussion towards the end of last year (http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2618) but it was to no avail. Is there a possibility of light at the end of the tunnel, because I don't think Microsoft will provide WinHlp32.exe beyond Windows 7, the date of release for the latter is unknown too.

Au contraire, mon fraire. Windows 7 has officially been released. The code has been frozen, it RTMed just under a month ago. It's not Generally Available yet, but it's exactly in this period between RTM and GA when bugs need to be ironed out. I'm glad to see a few forum members already using Windows 7. Unfortuantely, I can't vouch for HelpScribble, but some of the other software by JGSoft I do use and have purchased, so I'd venture that there's a good chance that HelpScribble might be more helpful than not.
Sure, make them public (as in completely public, not just license lounge) and let people have a go at tinkering with them. We are the ones who want an alternative (better?) help format, so we should make a better effort. Besides, 100 Euros is a very tempting rewardadmin wrote:No, but thanks anyway!
