IE can't open it. IrfanView can open it, but it scales it down to 10800x10800.

Font, Family, and Subfamily in the font preview only support Latin alphabets

OK, it's the keyboard selection issue. It has to be a Latin-based keyboard for Alt + Num to work.

v7.10.0010 - 2008-05-14 11:29 + Font Preview: Now the Edit box containing the sample text supports UNICODE. In other words: I finally managed to write a UNICODE compliant Edit Control -- a personal triumph :) Good job! Alt + Num Pad input method doesn't seem to be supported yet :wink:

Notepad does allow you to save a file containing only the word "Cologne" as ANSI (= 7 bytes), but a file containing the word "Köln" must be saved as UNICODE (= 2 * 4 + 2 BOM = 10 bytes), correct? Correct. Google for "unused leadbytes" and you'll find not much... Yeah, ...

Yes, when both of them (seperated by space) make up a single text string on the clipboard. So why doesn't "Köln" alone work?

I'm sorry, but the newly created txt file is encoded in the system default, not in UTF-16. So "ö" is necessarily garbled in my environment. With "Германия", it's correctly encoded in UTF-16
