So - are these instructions actually valid?
I thought I might dip my toe into the 64 bit realm today and saw this on the website: 2025-12-28_14-14-08.png So I click on this command from my 32bit version of XY and am prompted to download the 64 bit and basically set it up manually from scratch. No settings carried over. No license carried over...

Is XYplorer (32bit) end of life?
Seeing lots of activity with x64 now - but it is nowhere near stable as of yet for my usage.
Just wondering about status on existing 32Bit and when it might actually stop being updated.
Cheers

Re: Can someone set me straight on the latest releases?
I suppose Don is still waiting for some final issues with twinBASIC to be fixed before he integrates migration from 32bit to 64bit into the update routine. Exactly. Fair enough. I think I will stay with what I have until such time that I see a reason to switch. I use XY VERY heavily here and one th...

Can someone set me straight on the latest releases?
A few weeks back - I saw a blurb on the website saying that the latest XY 32bit version (at that time) was the "last" and is heading for the sunset and a "new" 64 bit version will take over in just a few days. That was several weeks ago. Now I see another 32 bit version is availa...

XYPlorer 27.00.0300 - File Refresh Still Broken
Hello Noticed this week that with any file on a local drive - in this specific example - about 20 different sound packs for a product I use (all in EXE format) - if I highlight on one of these: 2025-04-24_05-56-37.png ( AND with the right mouse button down ) drag and drop it to a designated network ...

No Tree Refresh after Deletion
Further to some interesting reading in this thread: https://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?t=28014&hilit=Refresh I am experiencing the same right now with 26.90. To keep things very simple: I can go to any main (first level) folder on any drive Create a subfolder folder called Test. In the ...

Re: This is new...
The error messages have two audiences: me and you (in that order). Sometimes hard to hit the sweet spot. Understood. Just would be nice to know what is going on without needing to resort to asking more questions. Two things on "Out of string space": 1) Has nothing to do with file name len...

Re: This is new...
Reproducible? Only happened this one time and I have not had the exact situation to retest. The activity was on a Windows 2022 server BTW. Did not think I was exceeding a 256 char filepath but I suppose anything is possible. If it occurs again - I will circle back. Also - on a general user friendle...

Re: Possible to create folders from file names?
I'm trying to do something very similar to this except I would like the files that I highlight instead placed into a folder that is created at the same location where the file already exist. Also, would it possible to have the folder that is created have the same created date as the highlighted fil...

Re: slow browsing on network drives
That's because that's not the experience of the majority of users. There must be some unknown factor at play. Or there is some crappy code at play. Using the word "must" strongly implies all of us are at fault and there is no possible way it could be your app. Mind you - you do tend lean ...

Re: slow browsing on network drives
Password protection has nothing to do with speed. There must be another pattern at work to explain your system's sluggishness. Same deal here (unfortunately). Unlike the OP - I am simply on out home network - some typical shares on a Windows Server - shares that have been there for a half dozen yea...
