What would the simple, consistent behaviour be?
Precisely what Jerry was describing -- that hitting the same key twice (such as "11") will jump to the first occurrence of that double character (i.e. the first occurrence of "11") rather than the second occurrence of that character (i.e. the second occurrence of "1") as is currently the case.
The reason it's simple and consistent is that currently, if you type "12" it will jump to the first occurrence of "12" (which makes sense and is expected). In fact, if you type "112" it'll jump to the first occurrence of "112" but typing "11" will still jump to the second occurrence of "1" (not what I want).
Having "11" jump to the second occurrence of "1" is completely inconsistent with the way the rest of how XY's TAF functionality works. However, it *is* apparently consistent with the way WE works. That's why I'm asking for a tweak -- I'd like XY to be completely self-consistent *for me* (and for anyone else who wants it to work that way), which will allow the current behavior for those who expect XY to work the way WE does.
Personally, I don't really care what WE does -- XY's way is better!
