Can the using of and the auto-save of the Folder View Setting be default enabled for all folders?
It seems I have to enable if for each folder separately.
I don't get youklerps wrote:It is still required then to Save Folder View for each folder separately.
And "Auto-Save changes" does exactly that. From the help file:klerps wrote:Yes, but doesn't seem to work.
To put my wish a bit more clear, I would like the sort order
of a folder to be saved for that folder the moment I click
a particular column to sort on that column.
It works for me, but you do have to do the initial save for each folder that you want custom views for.Auto-Save Changes. If checked then any manual changes to the current folder's view (e.g. you alter a column width) are automatically stored to the active folder view and will be remembered the next time you come back to the folder.
Exactly my point.zer0 wrote:It works for me, but you do have to do the initial save for each folder that you want custom views for.
What's wrong with that?klerps wrote:Exactly my point.zer0 wrote:It works for me, but you do have to do the initial save for each folder that you want custom views for.

Yes, that is true. However, once you save it, check "Auto-save changes" and further changes will be saved automatically. Is the initial commitment -- for that you can assign a KS -- such a burden?klerps wrote:You do have to do the initial save for each folder that you want custom views for.
