Create detailed log files for each backup??
On Pg. 153 of the pdf for 9.3 it states a log for each backup can be created by setting an option in Configuration|Report. No such appears! Where did it get moved to? Is the documentation not being kept up to date?

zero,
Thank you for the screen shot. It was a succinct and taciturn answer to the question!
It is lamentable that such outstanding software would present its loyal users with out-of-date documentation.

I know, I'm constantly improving the help but it's a never ending battle...aurumdigitus wrote:It is lamentable that such outstanding software would present its loyal users with out-of-date documentation.

Re: Create detailed log files for each backup??
"Cada um sabe onde o sapato aperta", a local saying for what I believe is the reason behind Don's decision to make XY a one-man-company. (something like "everybody knows where their shoes tighten", forgot the English equivalent for it...)
I prefer the supersonic, Guinness-runner evolving rhythm I see under the "improvements" label rather than the "well documented" one. Of course I am not exclusively dedicated to and not in the payroll, but just looking at the amount of work required to TRY to organize XY documentation under a comprehensive, coherent and new-user-friendly way puts me dazed. (Being not a native english speaker does interfere a lot, of course, but...)
All in all, KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK, DON! I'm sure new users interested enough in seeing the way things work sooner or later will stumble upon forums at least and have their doubts sanitized by our friendly regulars over here.

Note that in original post xyplorer was referred to as outstanding (that prompted me to opt for a lifetime license) which it is and even the more impressive being as you point out a one-man operation.SkyFrontier wrote:I prefer the supersonic, Guinness-runner evolving rhythm I see under the "improvements" label rather than the "well documented" one.
With that as preamble how keen would you be to fly in a jet where the pilot was using an out dated manual on how the controls worked?

AurumDigitus (I simply LOVE that nick!):
), with ambiguous feelings on how exciting it is and literally awaiting for the disaster to happen (I still cannot handle a single-tree file manager well enough to completely rely on it, and it CAUSES me pain when something bad happens - and eventually [shhhhhh...!] it HAPPENS!)
Well... that's Life.
That's why I am just enjoying the ride with tight seaten belts (...how keen would you be to fly in a jet where the pilot was using an out dated manual on how the controls worked?

Re: Create detailed log files for each backup??
From time to time, we find bugs in XYplorer. Likewise, we may find some mistakes with documentation. As long as we bring these up to Don's attention and he makes appropriate amendments, it's all good
