Dual pane with a tree in each pane?

Post by DoctorJellybean »

Is it possible to have a dual pane with a tree in each pane? I'm currently using a competitor file manager, and this is the default layout

No matter which folder I browser to, use, etc, it always reopens the layout as above. This is how I want and like it.

Now I would like to know if XYplorer can do the same, as I'm contemplating a switch from my current file manager.

Hey Doc

Welcome! The matters of Dual Tree have been spoken about here: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3631 XYplorer currently does not have a Tree-per-Pane layout ability. However, I noticed [from that screenshot] that you use Windows 7 and you can fire up 2 instances of single-pane XYplorer and use W7's Aero Snap feature to have them side-by-side, creating the desired effect 8)

And that's an extra background process Win 7 got to cope with  Worth thinking about though until such a time comes when a Dual Tree is implemented.
