Re: Send Drive To Error
What kind of drive do you mean?
I can send any file to an external USB HDD.
What OS? What version of XYplorer? Do you get the same error in Explorer?

And if XP, which Service Pack as I found this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830749 but I would suspect/hope that you're up-to-date on SP's...zer0 wrote:What OS? Do you get the same error in Explorer?
There was also this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/328856 which says that it in fact does the copy....hummm...
Addendum: Appears another search product has/had the same issue: http://forum.voidtools.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=82
and another FM type product also ran into this: http://surf.svprogramming.net/documenta ... imitations
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

Re: Send Drive To Error
I run WXP SP3 with current updates - and see the same. So the first MS-reference maybe says, it *started* with SP1?j_c_hallgren wrote:And if XP, which Service Pack as I found this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830749 but I would suspect/hope that you're up-to-date on SP's...zer0 wrote:What OS? Testing shows: The file is created, if it doesn't exist - but I must use refresh to see it.
If it exists, it requests authorisation to change - and if allow it overwrites.
All in all: for me the *function* is correct - the error-msg is wrong! And MS says:
"Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article."
and:
"APPLIES TO
* Microsoft Windows XP Professional
* Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition"
Without reference to a SP.
