Navigation/Tree Panel Width

I've been looking around for a while now (forum, faq, configuration file), but there doesn't seem to be any way to lock or control the width of the tree panel other than grab+drag. Is this the case? Or is there, in fact, some way to resize, lock, or otherwise manually control the width of the tree panel?

You can set the key manually in the ini file

NavWidthLeft=

You can also set it via scripting e.g

setlayout("NavWidthLeft=400");

but you can't lock its position AFAIK. Additionally you can also save and load the layout of all the screen panels you want with these menu items (or their scripting equivalent):

Window | Save Layout As...
Window | Load Layout...
