CKS related bugs and questions

Post by admin »

While CKS is in progress a lot of bugs will creep around in various corners of the program. Eventually we gonna get them all. If you spot one, say it here in this Sticky Topic.

CKS related? Maybe?

Post by j_c_hallgren »

I'm on .0018 and just noticed that when I was doing a simple rename on a txt file, that when I hit Enter to save new name, it invoked NotePad and opened file...kind of like a double-enter done, so I tried it more than one time...and I know I just hit enter softly and only one time!

Upd: Same result on HTM file...it opened it in IE!

It has been noticed before here and has been fixed in 0019 beta. :)

Regarding "Hot Zone" literal: IMVHO, I think something like "Active in" or "Available in" or "Usable in" or similar would be more commonly used to describe this...

Maybe Hot Zone was Don's choice cause he had in mind his special sexyplorer edition! ;)

(Note that I personnally don't mind "Hot Zone" though, either that or "Usable In" are both fine by me)

Okay, I like all of the three. Now with "global" i'm not sure how to say this in English. "Available in: Global" or "Available in: Anywhere" sounds a bit funny...

 Ok, how about this variant? "Where xxxxx?" (and then "Everywhere" or "Anywhere" instead of Global), with xxxxx being Available or Usable or "Usable/Available", etc.

:? Remember this is a title, so how would the "xxxx" be used in this scheme?
The values within the box will be "List", "Tree", and maybe "Everywhere", so the title can't have these values in it...that's why I suggested "Where available?" or "Where usable?", but a simple "Availability:" might work also.

Sorry, I got a bit out of control :) borrowing from your post -- I meant (as you suggested at the end) that the title just be "Availability:" with the "xxxxx" determined by the selection.

Sorry about the confusion!

 It just came to my mind that scope could be a good term for it!

Scope: List
Scope: Tree, List
Scope: Global

Works all okay, right?

"Scope" seems to cover the scope of it just right! :)
