1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

5.80.0018 File renaming ENTER bug

Post by lukescammell »

I think there's a new bug in 5.80.0018. When I rename a file and hit ENTER for the rename to happen, XY tries to execute the original file name.

So:
  • Select test.exe file
  • F2 (to activate rename)
  • rename file to whatever you like, eg test2.exe
  • Hit ENTER button
  • XY executes test.exe although it has already renamed it to test2.exe
Does this happen to anyone else?
Used to update to the latest beta every day. Now I have children instead…

Yeah can confirm that. But its not true if you rename a folder, it simply goes into the folder and doesnt rename it.

Same here, only it blanks out the other folder in the file list pane and doesn't refresh them (in Vista-64).

Hey, that's why they call it beta, right!

Yes, the first CKS side-effect. Fix is on the way.
