I have for many years used a small and fast checksum tool called HashOnClick (http://www.2brightsparks.com/onclick/hoc.html). I installed it on my new Win 7, and it crashes XYplorer. The mistake I did, was to download the new version of the application (v2.5.1). The old version (v2.2.1) will not crash XYplorer.
I write it here for info only, but if anyone is interested in investigating what goes wrong, here is a quick way of making the crash happen:
1] Create 3 empty .txt files (or use any existing files). 2] Rightclick and get MD5 checksum on file 1. 3] Click copy to clipboard. 4] Rightclick and get MD5 checksum on file 2. 5] Close window. 6] Open file 3 (.txt) with notepad. * Crash*
If XYplorer survives, repeat the steps and the crash will surely happen second time.
I have not reported the bug on their forum, since I then have to register and I am pretty sure that they don't care, and... I can just use the old version
