here are my thoughts about those:j_c_hallgren wrote:1) Different font for location -or-

Well, if as I imagine it's a "flag" one can set to the tab of his choice, you can set it & unset it as you want all day longj_c_hallgren wrote:There definitely should be some way to recreate the default tab should it be deleted, and also an option to use a default or not, IMHO.
I have to come back to this (taking up some loose ends after that little UNICODE diversion...): currently there's no message if the limit is reached and any tab can be overwritten (= is not locked). Would it be better to do like Maxthon and pop a message instead of simply overwrite a tab???jacky wrote:Yes, Maxthon has this also (along with locked tab aswell). When the limit is reached and one try to open a new tab, instead there's a popup stating that the maximum number of tabs allowed has been reached (and where to change it also I think).admin wrote:Do you know of any other tabbed apps that can limit the tab number?
Well, I do limit my tabs on Maxthon, but I won't have a limit on XY (different usage) but, there is a major difference between XY & Maxthon's behaviors here I think: in Maxthon a tab will never be overwritten (ie. not when you want to open a new tab etc)admin wrote:I have to come back to this (taking up some loose ends after that little UNICODE diversion...): currently there's no message if the limit is reached and any tab can be overwritten (= is not locked). (I don't limit my tabs so I don't have any experience here.)
And that one I'll useadmin wrote:PS: default tab will come...
Exactly. I tried some messages but it got annoying very fast. So I stick to the way it is and explain it in the help file.jacky wrote:So you could either pop a message before overwriting a tab in such a case, to explain what will (or not) happen, but if someone happen to be in that situation a lot it'll probably get annoying.
I'd say just state (I mean in the help) that this is how it goes, and no popup untill the limit is reached and e're blocked (no unlocked tab found), or make it an option (eg. Use unlocked tab when opening new tab but max tabs limit is reached)
