I starting using Windows 8 Pro a few days ago. XYPlorer 11.9 works properly. However, the XYPlorer help does not function properly -- the display pane of XYPlorer.chm is blank. It was suggested to "Unblock" (Properties - General - Security) for this file -- but that did not work. A simple test to demonstrate the problem is to double-click XYPlorer.chm using either XYPlorer or File Manager.
Is anyone else having this problem or does anyone know of a fix?

Re: Problem w/ Help File when using Windows 8
Hello and welcome!
What is the exact directory your .chm is positioned in?
Maybe the "Another Solution", described a bit further down on this page could help:

I am not sure if it was ever tried explicitly under Windows 8, so if it does, please let the people here know.

The alternate solution was not tried because it was aimed at Win 2000/XP. The XYPlorer.chm file is located in the same folder as XYPlorer.exe is located, namely, C:\Program Files (x86)\XYPlorer.
Only one other .chm file did not display the right pane properly when opened by either XYPlorer or File Manager. The only other non-working .chm file is nircmd.chm. Nircmd.exe is a 32-bit app and is not yet Windows 8 compatible.
