In windows, there is a feature called offines files: not many people seem to be aware of it.
It allows laptop users to still have access to certain files/folders while disconnected from server that host select offlineable files
(set it up in control panel, sync)
It can be very useful, when it works ;-)
In windows explorer, I can see a extra item in the context menu "Always available Offline" while right clicking a file/folder
It doens't seem to be available in XYplorer
Shell extensions seem to be here as I can see winrar, so the offline item must be a slightly different behaviour
XYplorer & offline files bug (maybe)

I do not see that item in my context menu of a file in Explorer. Is there anything special about those files/folders?jbourdon wrote:In windows explorer, I can see a extra item in the context menu "Always available Offline" while right clicking a file/folder

nothing special about these files, sync/offline files must be enabled, and computer restart once.
then after any files/folders (preferably on a network share I suppose, not on local HD) can be asked to become offline-able

Re: XYplorer & offline files bug (maybe)
XYplorer will have a feature that will allow folder synchronization. Once that functionality is in, you will be able to do pretty much the same and maybe even more. Is this a 64-bit OS you're trying on?jbourdon wrote:nothing special about these files, sync/offline files must be enabled, and computer restart once.
