So, apart from kindly informing about competing products, what else justifies your title as XY chief promoter?

No, but it's a dead horse that is not worth continuous beating. You were very vocal, we heard you loud and clear.

Probably the fact that I also inform about this product. :)
I have 1 license, but (meanwhile) 3 computers, so I need to give the competition a chance, too. Yesterday I recommended XYplorer to my girlfriend, just one example ...

I think that over the years I've likely spent much more time trying to promote XY and I don't use any sig line like that...and if you're trying to promote XY, why in the world would you have a clickable link to one of the main competing products listed FIRST in your sig line? I've made it clear from text of some of my posts that I also use x2 (free vers) on occasion but I would NEVER put that in my sig line, even if I owned the product.

My suggestion if you want to have a reference to it in sig is to list it LAST and just as text only, not a link...
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

In x² forums I made a link to XY in my signature, so it should be fair.

Anyway, I guess you're right. I'll shorten it. :)

Now show me what this is good for. :)
First of all, remove the code at the bottom of the main XYplorer page, because it is pointing at another Facebook profile.

Next, you should add either the Facebook "Like" button or box. You can stylise your button here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/re ... gins/like/ and box here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/re ... /like-box/

For Twitter, you can get buttons here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/re ... /like-box/

You may also want to add an RSS feed (just for you .tux :P): http://feeds.feedburner.com/XyplorerUpdates

I would suggest placing them just to the right of "Read about brand-new XY...". It will put those social components "in the face" of visitors :)

Be aware that adding these "Like" boxes is against privacy laws in Germany as they share information about the people who visit that page without their explicit consent.

What information is that (just out of curiosity)? If it is faces of those who like XYplorer's page, an option to show them can be unchecked.

By law, even the information that my IP was on that certain website requires my explicit consent before sending it to Facebook.

That's between you and Facebook. XYplorer page will not be sending any information to FB, apart from HTTP requests to get the box and its contents.

The box sends information to Facebook.

 And I do plan to restart my blog this week with most recent updates...I'll then be working backwards to fill in the missing gaps for last few months which may take months, but I need to do it.

The only information that is sent to Facebook, from my understanding, is a request to fetch the IFRAME with its contents. The box and its information are stored on FB's servers, so XYplorer's page wouldn't pass any info to FB, it merely retrieves it.
