You can already preview zip files by tweaking the following INI key like this:

OfficePreviewCustomExtensions=.zip.

Also, native support for Zip/RAR formats is to come (see roadmap link in my signature).

As you've seen above, we have in this forum a nbr of devoted fans who try and help out as much as possible! Thanks zer0 for that prompt assist!

Now for some general comments:

Your query is somewhat common so an answer is easier to get but we have a variety of folks here who can aid with most things...the only thing we'd request is that before you begin a new thread: Please do some searching of existing threads for similar ones to help keep the forum tidy, ok?

And a question like that might have been better placed in the Tips/tricks/Q&A since it wasn't a wish but a "can XY do this?" thing...we're not all THAT formal here as things do get responded to no matter where they are but use the other threads in a sub-forum as a guide to where best to place it...also, please feel free to re-open an existing thread that matches your need instead of making a new one...that also helps keep the forum(s) neat.
