Is it possible to save which tabs are open

Post by sukruboz »

I am evaluating XYplorer.

I work on many web sites daily. For each web site I need to open 3 folders. They are html, graphics, and documents folders.

I was hoping that with XYexplorer I could save the open tabs as a workspace, so I would have as many saved work spaces as the number of web sites that I manage. So when I wanted to work on web site say ABC I would open ABC with XYexplorer and I would see ABC.html, ABC.graphics and ABC.docs tabs within the software.

Is that possible, and if it is where can I find this feature?

Your response will be greatly appreciated.

OK, I just added
- Tab groups (Workspaces)
to the roadmap:

I have no idea as to amount of coding required to add any of these items on roadmap but I'm guessing that tab groups would be rather easy compared to some other items so could it be higher on list and thus get done sooner, as i presume the list in in work order? Yes, there are some highly requested items at top of list but maybe this could be knocked out quickly and make a nbr of folks pleased?
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

I agree, it would be great to see Tags in the v10 of XY.
Also, do you plan to have Tag cloud at some point? I'll bump you in one year.

This sentence reads like: Tags 2.0 can be emulated as well. I guess you meant Tab groups can be emulated as well.

Rephrasing:
...which can't be emulated just like "saving sessions" currently can.
Better?
Thank you!
