XY TB icon on CTB?

Post by aurumdigitus »

Using the appropriate syntax XY TB icons can be made to appear in the menus of CTB's. Is there any variation of that syntax - or any other method - whereby a XY TB icon can take the place of the generic CTB icon?

If I understood right, you don't want the generic "blue star" button of CTB but one of XY's other buttons, right?
Yes, that possible. For example in the icon field you can enter :conf to get config button or :go to get addressbar go button.
Does that help?

In that case, this list (+ 2 scripts to show and copy icon codes) will help a lot!

This looks related to something I was going to ask a while ago . . .

Those icons that are available using ':conf' or ':go' etc, is there a list of these anywhere so we can determine what they look like and choose the icon to use for the button?

I've been using a collection of .icon files in a folder on my local drive and just referencing to one of those. I suspect that built in icons would be much better (and portable 8) )

Thanks

-that's what's my previous post is all about! :P

EDIT: Oh, and I DO use a portable resource folder for that sort of usage (portable icons!) in ways I can point and use the icons as something like this:

Code: Select all

<xydata>\_RES\Clock.ico
or
.\Data\_RES\Clock.ico
...but there's a bit of room for improvement as described here and here. Sky's the limit, developer's worst nightmare...

Add a user button, right click it, select Customize Toolbar: Voila, the list! :)

Yes, that is it exactly and precisely! Is this a documented feature? If so another datum of XY gold got past me. :(

Ban the Blue Star

Yes, see Help file:
Tip: You may as well re-use XYplorer's internal Toolbar icons for your own button. Simply state the toolbar icon key preceded by a colon (":") in the Icon field, e.g. :hotlist. You can find the toolbar icon keys in the Customize Toolbar dialog when you call it from the context menu of a user button.
