1. how can i limit the history of previously visited folders in XYplorer?

2. only remember history of current session (seems to be remembered between sessions)

3. is there a way to prevent duplicates in that history?

I don't think you can. It's hard-coded to stand at 256 items.

Configuration > Save & Exit > Don't save history

Configuration > Advanced > History without duplicates
