Autorefresh - Tree

Post by phatmankerr »

Probably a dim question, but does anyone know if AutoRefresh includes the tree?

Only reason I ask if that quite often the tree does not get refreshed (e.g. if I plug in an external drive or map a network drive)?

My tree is locked if that is what is causing it not to refresh?

Thanks

Andy

Help file ;) says...
Automatic refresh (of tree and list) on file system changes. You don't need to press F4 (refresh tree) or F5 (refresh list) any more to get a fresh impression of reality.
If your locked tree is Maxi Tree, it still reflects changes to folder/directory structure.

zer0,

Thanks for the response - it is maxi tree - and it doesn't seem to be consistent other than newly mapped network drives never seem to show without a manual refresh.

External drive connection seems to be a bit hit and miss - sometimes the drives appear automatically others not (it's probably about 80:20 - e.g. 80% they appear automatically).

It's a bit of a pain - but not the end of the world (the network here is a Novell network so not sure if that affects the mapped network drives).

And as external drives usually appear - again not the end of the world.

I just wanted to confirm what was supposed to happen really.
