If it is any consolation I purchased Xyplorer because of the offer - I've been monitoring the project for a few months or so because I was dissatisfied with my current explorer replacement. The grass offer tipped me over the edge. :)
Ditto. I, too purchased it because of the offer. Of course didn't know who the artist was, so I did some trial and error but it's not that hard! Some people really are lazy.

I twittered and even posted a new thread on slickdeals.net about it, and some people there asked why bother when windows vista/7 explorer is good enough. After I told them that it had dual-panes and tabs (among other things), they said that the default explorer has dual panes and tabs too. Wha? All I know is, I want what they're smoking!

Anyways, thanks for an awesome product and your devotion to constantly making it stronger!

In fact, it has multiple panes. One tree pane on the left, one informational pane on the bottom, one file pane in the middle. But I guess they didn't get it right.

Hi and welcome to the XY forums!

Yup...a friend of mine said it was too much effort even though I gave hime a VERY obvious clue to the right answer..

Thanks for helping promote it! And I've also run into people who barely use Win Expl...I don't see how they can function on a PC without it but guess they do somehow...but when I've showed a few XY, they said they liked it.
Anyways, thanks for an awesome product and your devotion to constantly making it stronger!
I'm sure Don and the other forum regulars appreciate the positive thoughts!

And don't be a stranger to these forums! It's one of the best parts of XY (to me) as we can affect how XY develops which is rather unusual.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

They are not wrong. Firing up 2 instances of Explorer and using Aero Snap can give you dual panes, while QTTabBar would give you tabbed functionality. There is always a way young padawan... :P

Why so complicated?

(Not sure if it works with W7 yet.)

That's what I was thinking they meant. Amazing how dense some people are. They're quick to respond on message boards so they don't look like an ass, which makes them look MORE like one!

ha! Yea, but it still leaves a bunch of explorer tabs open on your task bar (or a group in win7). I actually used to use qttabbar and it was okay, but tended to crash a bit. It hasn't been updated in eons, developer went AWOl, and I don't think it works in win7. Least that's what I read and I have no need or intention to try it now!

I just posted about the discount on a SnagIt forum on the Techsmith website, and it looks like you got a sale out of it! (after only 10 minutes of use, he decided to buy!)

I couldn't find it when I looked either, so not sure where it's hiding there...seemed to not have any non-SnagIt sections.

Sorry -- it's buried in one of the threads there -- I had mentioned it a while back, and rather than starting a new thread, just added to it (looks less like spam when it's relevant to the current thread...)

In any case, at least that guy found it! :)

I just posted another message about the current "grass" promotion:

http://www.cocreateusers.org/forum/foru ... y.php?f=57

Hopefully it'll drive additional traffic to your site as well!
