Preview .msg (Vista and Office 2003)
Hi,
i need some advise. Searched the forum but didnt find an answer. May my bad english is the fault, because the question is very simple!
First of all:
Previewd Formats: .msg in the configuration:yes
Vista
Office 2003
Mistake:
There is no preview from .msg files! There comes just the phrase: Not a text file
Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot

Hi,
try this: uncheck msg in "Text files" but check it in "Web & office files".

This dont work either. But the Message changed:
File type excluded from preview in configuration.
plus button: Preview now
When i push the button, the effect is that the preview window closes ...
seems strange that this is an unknown problem, there should be an easy solution?!

Re: Preview .msg (Vista and Office 2003)
...thats nice, i am not too stupid.
i was testing the xyplorer and i like it very much but wont buy it now because the preview is just possible in the window on the bottom.
thats not practially for me because i can see just a very small part of the document and have to scroll arround. the preview is for me almost useless ... I read that this may change. then i rethink my decision ...
cheers durum

Vertical Preview Panel right of the file list(s) ala Vista/Win 7 is planned on the roadmap: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4382durum wrote:i was testing the xyplorer and i like it very much but wont buy it now because the preview is just possible in the window on the bottom.

In case you did not notice: You can enlarge the preview panel by dragging the horizontal splitter below the statusbar.durum wrote:i was testing the xyplorer and i like it very much but wont buy it now because the preview is just possible in the window on the bottom.

Or you can use the Maximize/Minimize toolbar icon (or the F12 key) to make the preview almost the entire screen...that is more preview area than some other FM's have.admin wrote:In case you did not notice: You can enlarge the preview panel by dragging the horizontal splitter below the statusbar.durum wrote:i was testing the xyplorer and i like it very much but wont buy it now because the preview is just possible in the window on the bottom.

Re: Preview .msg (Vista and Office 2003)
So you're not seeing a layout something similar to this when you use the Maximize (plus Wide Info Panel)? Note which layout toolbar icons I've got active....Because this is the largest it can be, since one must always see some XY overhead at top...and I'm only on a 1024x768 screen so yours may be larger.
