What simple thing am I overlooking?
A bug!!j_c_hallgren wrote:What simple thing am I overlooking?
Actually I'm a bit depressed that this bug went unseen for such a long time. What kind of user base is that?!j_c_hallgren wrote:![]()
Well!! I can definitely relate to that! I've done the same thing! User asked why it didn't quite work right...found that I'd just stub-ed out the code but never finished it...
No, "?" is exactly one (any) char. "one or more of any char" does not exist, only "zero or more of any char" (*).j_c_hallgren wrote:The wildcard char for "one or more of any char" in a file location is "?", correct?
Because in http://www.xyplorer.com/xed/findfiles.htm there are some other values shown...or is that strictly for RegEx? Or???
Just wanting to make sure we're all on the same mindset!
Just made some experiments. Result: Hey, enlarge your browser's font size!j_c_hallgren wrote:I used the wrong char in my last post! Sorry! Let's try again!
What I meant to say was that in a wildcard for a path, should I wish to include all values for a particular level (such as "user"), I would use the "*"...fine...but in XED, it appears to say "+" for that usage.
Well, a pixel is a pixel. In the meantime, I enlarged the fontj_c_hallgren wrote:![]()

Ok!
I normally run in IE with text size = 'smaller' on LCD laptop at 1024x768...I never had seen before that it would show a totally diff char at that size! It was a bit small on certain web pages (like that one) but readable...so now I'll know to explode it to next size before making any critical decisions, forum comments, etc. Thanks!!!
