How about add the option to let us customize the color of address bar text, background, highlight?

Out of curiosity, what is the business case for this?

we can already customize tree and panes colors. would be nice to also have the ability to customize the address bar. would allow us to unify the color scheme more.

But can you provide an example of another FM that allows this? Or any leading product/browser? I can't think of one at the moment as AB color (AFAIK) is more controlled by a global OS setting.TsunamiZ wrote:we can already customize tree and panes colors. would be nice to also have the ability to customize the address bar. would allow us to unify the color scheme more.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

Re: Customize color of address bar text, background, highlight?
I will say that it could be mildly useful if the address bar matched the list background including when it's boxed or a different list mode.
Or maybe it could use color to provide some information like locked tab, set home, locked home, system, or hidden attributes.
Perhaps like the shading in Firefox's Location² addon where it could shade a portion of the location, like the levels above the locked/home directory.
Or if it had some features like in Vista/7 WE and showed a progress bar when the folder is loading, creating thumbnails, searching.
But just the ability to customize the colors statically I'm not sure I see the use in that.
In any event I could see these all being part of a later address bar update that would include making it more 7 friendly with an actual breadcrumb control.
