Add more than 16 custom toolbar buttons?
How about allow us to add more than 16 CTB? I've been using CTB for favorites buttons and I've ran out. Perhaps increase the CTB to 32?

Re: Add more than 16 CTB?
In the meantime, what I have been doing is grouping commands so they appear as menu items on CTBs. If an extra click is no bother that is...

i prefer the 1-click approach of buttons because its faster to access. that's why i'm making my favorites as buttons instead of using the menu...

Sure, it is faster. However, personally, I'd rather have a menu item than not be able to add it through lack of CTBs -- your call...TsunamiZ wrote:i prefer the 1-click approach of buttons because its faster to access. that's why i'm making my favorites as buttons instead of using the menu...

Re: Add more than 16 CTB?
I'm rather thinking about adding another toolbar (or infact infinite toolbars). Then 16 CTBs per toolbar would be enough.

FYI,
i am on 1280x1024 [Toolbar] [ Address bar]
and see currently 38 small TB icons, and there is room for another 10 or 12 ...
...so 16 pieces would look rather lost

that sounds like a good idea. but in reality, i would prefer to be able to add more buttons to the same toolbar than adding another toolbar to the interface. unless the toolbars can be combined seemlessly to look like 1 toolbar.admin wrote:I'm rather thinking about adding another toolbar (or infact infinite toolbars). personally, i'm on a 1920x1200 wide screen, which can fit a lot of buttons on 1 toolbar.

Indeed. Vertical space is often at a premium, whereas horizontal real estate is likely to be in abundance. Also, having vertically-stacked toolbars dampens the usefulness of being able to scroll them. IMO (yes, I said itTsunamiZ wrote:that sounds like a good idea. but in reality, i would prefer to be able to add more buttons to the same toolbar than adding another toolbar to the interface. unless the toolbars can be combined seemlessly to look like 1 toolbar.

I'd love to see multiple, movable/dockable toolbars (with the AB movable and dockable as well) -- then we have total flexibility in customizing the interface to the way we work...
heck, what if the tree and catalog were movable and dockable also... OK, that might be a bit much (but maybe not...)
