I don't see much of a performance improvement, but limiting the refresh to the current drive would prevent the mentioned side-effects (floppy seek with grating noise, etc.). Can't wait for RefreshTreeOnTabChange = 2!admin wrote:You can select a drive root and then do "Refresh Current Folder" (Shift+F4) to get an idea.

Re: Tree not Auto-Refreshing when creating folder in inactive ta
I'm sorry to report that setting RefreshTreeOnTabChange to 2 instead of 1 does not cause an immediate refresh. Setting it to 1 does, but 2 doesn't work immediately. Only after clicking a different tab for the second time does the tree refresh. In my testing, it doesn't matter whether the two tabs I switch between, point to the the same or to a different drive.admin wrote:In the next version try RefreshTreeOnTabChange = 2 to refresh just the current drive (or top folder like "Desktop" etc.).

Whoops, forgot to redraw the control (you should see the changes already when you scroll the tree a bit just to trigger a redraw). Should work in next version.nas8e9 wrote:I'm sorry to report that setting RefreshTreeOnTabChange to 2 instead of 1 does not cause an immediate refresh.
