Newbie has basic question
I can't seem to find how to turn on text labels under by toolbar buttons, the way they appear in Windows Explorer. Is there a way to do this, or is this feature missing?

Hi wally and welcome
I had think about the same today, but there is no such option in XY.
But if you hover with the mouse over the buttons you will see an tool tip describing what the button will do.

That's too bad. I dislike having to pause and wait for ToolTips to provide information that could be readily available right on the toolbar. Wish there were an option for turning text labels on instead.
Thanks for your response, though.

Re: Newbie has basic question
One possible way to mitigate the way you feel may be to use distinctive icons for each CTB. That way you'll remember quickly what a CTB does just by looking at one. Perhaps sectioning off certain groups of CTBs to further aid in recognition. Last, but not least, you can create context lists for CTBs which do support text labels.
