Hi Folks,
I just switched the the 64bit version, licensed, if that matters.
Windows 11 Pro.
It's been running fine for me for a few years now but since the switch to x64, when I press F9 or click on "Configuration..", it looks like something will happen.
The main window freezes as if the Config window has appeared, but it doesn't.
And I can't access the main app until I press ESC, as if I were exiting the Config screen.
I have no problems accessing the XYplorer.ini file directly from Windows.
Just can't edit the config within the app.
Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated
Cheers!

Re: Unable to access Configuration file within XYplorer64
I am running 28.00.1200 x64
Oddly when I looked at the list of installed apps, it also showed a XYplorer 27.20 installed.
The uninstall of that one failed.
So now I am using Revo to remove that old one
That cleared it all up and I am back to "happy camper" again.
Thanks

Re: Unable to access Configuration file within XYplorer64
I'm having the exact same problem, and symptoms, as steve1227. I uninstalled the 32bit version successfully but I'm still unable to access the configuration file. I don't remember when I last tried to access the configuration file, perhaps never since updating to the 64-bit version. Since I noticed the problem I've updated XYplorer 64 twice but I'm still experiencing the problem. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Re: Unable to access Configuration file within XYplorer64
Thanks!
Not sure what you mean by "configuration file". Are you talking about XYplorer.ini or about the Configuration dialog (F9)?

Re: Unable to access Configuration file within XYplorer64
If your symptoms are the exact same as the OP, it sounds like the config window could possibly be open on another monitor

Re: Unable to access Configuration file within XYplorer64
I've tried Tools > Configuration and F9. The dialog isn't visible on either monitor but you jogged my memory a bit; some time back I occasionally had problems with some windows opening off-screen. Mr Google suggested: To bring up the move window dialog in Windows 10, select the target window and press Alt + Space then M . That brought up an empty rectangle and when I clicked it the config window reappeared. Sigh of relief.
Thanks for your help admin and jupe.

It should not open in nowhere, of course. Will check that later.

Admin, I think it's probably another Windows 'feature' as it's happened with different programs over the years.

Re: Unable to access Configuration file within XYplorer64
If you have more than one monitor connected to your system, Windows assumes that they are all turned on. There is apparently no reliable way to detect the power state of monitors in Windows. To avoid issues with app windows hiding on switched-off monitors, detach the cable from any unused monitor.

Re: Unable to access Configuration file within XYplorer64
Both monitors have been on on each occasion. If I leave the computer unattended, and running, for a long time then the second monitor switches off (actually a low power stand-by state) and all windows that were open on the second monitor are moved to the primary monitor which is in sleep mode at that time.
