Hello,
I can confirm this problem still exists in 28.00.0200 (64 bit). There was only one folder in rapid access folders - which is a network folder. "Add rapid access folders" step took more than 5,5 seconds alone. I deleted the folder from rapid access and it is better now.

The interesting points about the problem:
1. I never use the tree, I only use catalog. Even it is hidden tree is loaded it seems.
2. All the panes are network folders. It is odd that these network tabs took way less to load than rapid access folder.

Hope it gets better, in this state rapid access folders are not usable on my case.

1) What kind of network folder is it: server, share, or subfolder of share?
2) Is the server available at that point?

Hello,
It is a network server. Interestingly I disabled rapid access, reenabled it to try. Removed the folder and added the same folder there again. This time it is faster. Maybe a bloat with my very old installation?
