1) Buttons not visible on the Configuration dialog (and in that dialog, I can click OK and get to the Jump dialog by judiciously using Tab and Enter, but it shows no buttons either)

2) Error dialog when choosing Quick View, followed by a quick view that only displays part of the first line of the file.

Is it being looked into (I provided the Various Information previously, but it hasn't been acknowledged)?
This is what 32-bit version looks like on my box.

And 64-bit.

Here are my display settings.

Is there any way to configure the height of the dialog?

The above issue is only happening on my main desktop.

The Quick View issue is happening on another Windows 11 machine. Scaling is 250% and resolution 3840 x 2160, not sure if that is a factor.

Can anyone with a similar scaling percentage confirm or refute this?

If this is ticked, drag and drop works just fine:
Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | Drag and Drop | Use standard shell drag and drop

Since the only advantage of unticking it is custom mouse pointers, I'm considering dropping that setting altogether and hard-coding it to "YES." The drag status box is much better than the mouse pointer anyway.

This option is already ticked and doesn't help
if the TB version ir running in the VB dir.

Btw. the bad screen quality is only in the TB version.
The VB version has no such display problems.

More important, the TB version changes the settings in this dialog without any action from me
if it runs in the VB dir, and I can't change anything in this dialog.
This is also the case if I run the TB version in its own clean dir.
It's time to stop evaluaion of the TB version in this state.

Those checkboxes will disappear soon. They are marked to be killed.

"VB dir" refers your XYVB app data? I wonder what in the app data could make DnD fail? Did you try a fresh version?

We have one user with display issues on high scaling, and one user with drag and drop issues.

All others are happy?

Using version 719 in a fresh dir.
I can't change anything under Other / Shell Integration.
All options stay as show in my screenshot from above.
Running XY VB, Total Commander, Free Commander and Everything without any glitch.
I'm sure that my PC configuration is not the problem in this case.

Mh, no problems here (0719) with drag and drop of multiple files with
Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | Drag and Drop | [x] Use standard shell drag and drop
ticked but I'm not using it in my default XYVB config dir...

I can change all settings in Configuration | Other | Shell Integration (apart from the ones that are by default disabled)...

Okay, thanks for the feedback. During this phase, I cannot address issues reported by only one person because there is a high likelihood that they are idiosyncratic.

Currently I cannot reproduce this issue anymore:

Code: Select all

    > Crashes after closing the Floating Preview (F11). Can't fix it because it only happens
      in the compiled version. :\
Could or can anybody reproduce it?

Since you ask... In my many-years personalized XY config, XYTBx64 (now v719) can't delete files. Nothing at all happens. But it can do so in a ::fresh instance, so I haven't thrown this issue into the mix. I've compared all the relevant Config settings between mine and ::fresh and see nothing that might be culpable.

XYVB works fine and btw XYTB v0627 did too. The problem began with the switch to x64, at which time XYTBx64 not only couldn't delete a file but would crash while attempting it. They latter symptom has ended as x64 has improved, and I hoped that the failure to delete a file would incidentally get fixed too; but it's still there. Again, only with my personal settings.

[EDIT: while I was writing this you posted about holding off on individual issues such as this]

Yes, I get this crash in v719 with my personal config settings. It doesn't happen in a ::fresh instance of v719.

Like Malarki described, I'm having the same issue with being unable to delete files.
