You're getting a little closer on MDBU on animated gifs. A grey picturebox is displayed with no pic and it doesn't crash. Same gif on floating preview, the preview box is display but no pic, stationary or animated , and no crash.

The animated clock works here, Windows Server 2022 10.0.20348.1850

I've attached my animated .svg that just shows a still picture in preview but works as expected when loaded via a browser

klownboy is right, mdbu doesn't play e.g. an animated gif...

Just a box for me, nothing in it on MDBU or Floating Preview with highend's Scalable Vector Graphic. SVG is listed under web files in Configuration preview

It may be a little late in the day to ask but what are the benifits of a 64 bit XYplorer?
Regards

I cant find any issues with the latest iteration 0715.
Even the dynamic SBV clock works.
There is still the mp3s not auto starting but may be later.
Keep up the good work you need a rest!

0715
Right drag msg file from Outlook inbox screen to XY pane fails error 6 and deletes the original file. It is still in the Outlook deleted box. Oooops.

No, no. Both XY and TB are alive. Everything will fall into place.

A port for 64-bit architectures will allow to fix the bug with the white flick of pop-ups, to combine several independent .exe files (including XYcopy) into a single application, to remove the 4 GB memory limit, and so on.

32-bit applications on 64-bit Windows run on a virtual machine from MS that is stored in SysWOW64. This folder is growing with the need to run 32-bit applications.

Therefore, the port will allow Don to focus on expanding old limitations, focus on fixing old bugs that may have arisen due to VisualBasic limitations.

Upd: I found more appropriate words about 64-bit arch from Linus Torvalds:
The biggest single reason to go 64-bit is exactly because of physical address space. Your virtual address space needs to bea multiple of the physical one:
when you hit 1GB of RAM, 32-bit virtual memory is no longer acceptable. You literally do need more virtual memory than physical.
More memory will allow xyplorer to work painlessly with Large files, and, for example, not to freeze when searching for all files starting from the root drive through Quicksearch or Everything CLI.

Scalable Vector Graphic [animated].zip
I know that one. But it does not work in XYVB either. That's a limitation of the (medieval) Browser control which is based on the (archaic) Internet Explorer. Who knows, the future might being something better here as well.

I'm aware that anim-GIF (HTML, SVG) preview support is still limited. My workaround goes only so far. Once TB allows dynamic adding of Browser controls, all will be as it was before.

New version of XYplorer (64-bit) compiled with twinBASIC BETA 809:

XYplorerTB.exe, v27.00.0716, NOT digitally signed, zipped

Code: Select all

    > XYTB is Win 7+.
    > Crashes after closing the Floating Preview (F11). Can't fix it because it only happens
      in the compiled version. :\
! Fixed drag and drop from Outlook issue.
    ! Various fixes.
There will be glitches, there will be bugs. Work in progress.
