XYplorer Beta Club
Using 27.00.0600 and windows 11 up to date and using Tags/Labels the foldericon stays as standard. If I change the icon via properties it changes and stays when XY is opened and closed.
If the system is close and re opened the icons revert to the standard.
If I change via File Explorer the same.
Is it possible to change the icon permanently?

3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

Not sure it is.
Can do on FreeCommander but there you set the icon for each favorite.
No big deal more inportant issues I guess for 64 Bit.

Maybe your windows icon cache is full or corrupted (without certitude). Have a look to https://windowsloop.com/clear-icon-cache-windows/

What, if any relationship do Tags/Labels have to do with folder icons? I have no idea what you are talking about either, but you could check out this:

I think I have added to the confusion mine not yours the issue is surrounding icons on Bookmarks.
