I will keep the VB and TB version data separate in the next release to fix that issue.

No, it's too much of a hassle. The switch to TB and 64-bit will come pretty soon. Some last bug fixes, then .0600, then it's bye-bye VB.

New version of XYplorer compiled with twinBASIC BETA 785 (32-bit still):

XYplorerTB.exe, v27.00.0502, NOT* digitally signed, zipped

+ Various fixes.

There will be glitches, there will be bugs. Work in progress.

* It could not be digitally signed because DigiCert failed to deliver the new certificate in time, which was probably due to an error by DHL. :(

Hey Don, I tried to right drag a file from the list panel to the tree with v27.00.0502 and XYplorerTB closes as soon as the cursor is over the tree.

1. What's the setting of Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | Drag and Drop | Use standard shell drag and drop?

2. Does it make a difference if you change that setting?

3. Left drag or right drag?

I'm also getting the crash when dragging.

I'm trying to drag a file into a folder in the same directory. Left click dragging.

Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | Drag and Drop | Use standard shell drag and drop is enabled.

It also crashes if I disable that option.

Hi,

I've noticed bad performance when selecting items if "Properties" tab in Info Panel is focused.
It's very noticeable when moving through filelist using cursor keys.
Performance in any of the other tabs of the Info Panel is very good.

Tested in Windows 11 and a clean install of XYplorer.

I've attached a video of the problem.

Hi Don,
1. I had Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | Drag and Drop | Use standard shell drag and drop - unchecked
2. When I changed it to Use standard shell drag and drop, XYTB still closes as stated above.
3. I'm using Right drag. My setup has left dragging from tree or list disabled.

Confirmed. Surprising. I'll (or rather Wayne) look into it.

I can also confirm the drag crash. Over here it already crashes when the dragging starts, before it even reaches the target pane.

Yes, when I move the mouse slower, it's obvious that it happens before it reaches the target pane (tree in my case).

Don
When using Preview with Windows 11 and XYplorerTB-27.00.0502 the following file extensions create failures. All the same error code.
PDF, SVG, HTM, HTML.

When Right or Left, drag to move or copy Outlook .msg file to folder then
XYplorerTB-27.00.0502 crashes.

Both these failures are not evident on Xyplorer 27.00.0500.

PDF preview works fine here. Which preview do you mean? (Info Panel, Preview Pane, Floating Preview?)

Don
All failing extensions fail in Preview Pane and Floating Preview. The Info Panel is selected and toggles and seems normal.

In XYplorerTB-27.00.0502 I moved PDF to Document Files from Web File and works file. PDF works fine in Xyplorer 27.00.0500 with same setting.

Other extensions still failing.

Hope this helps.

Hey Don, something I've been meaning to pass on concerning the use of User > Manage Commands (and not just the last version)... If I Open "Run Script" and I edit one of my commands (e.g., do anything like put in a space then backspace it out in a script line, then hit OK to exit out of the Edit dialog. Now I'm back in the Manage User-defined Commands dialog, you'll notice you have to hit the OK button twice to get of the Manage User-defined Commands dialog and return to XYplorerTB's main windowes. Of course this is not the case with the existing VB version.

Hm, cannot reproduce. But it's extremely minor I'd say. And it will probably almost auto-fix after some time.
