Version files after XYplorer_26.30 lose focus

XYplorer_26.30 and later versions, after opening a file in a folder, especially opening a video, and playing the video with an external video player (potplayer), the focus will be lost in xyplorer, for example, the blue selection will turn gray, and deletion operations such as shift+delete will have no effect. You have to press the tab key to return the focus to xyplorer.

Can't confirm with current XY beta and MPC-HC as the video player...

This issue seems specific to PotPlayer, it was previously reported here:

I'd assume it would be possible to script up a workaround if you are familiar with XY scripting.

After testing, it is confirmed that other video players do not have this problem. I don't know what causes this problem, and I don't know whether subsequent versions can solve this problem. Currently, I am still using version 26.30, which does not have this problem.

That other report is from 29 May 2024 09:15 which is way before 26.30. So why does it work with 26.30 for the OP of the current thread?

I made a mistake when posting. There is no problem with version 26.30. Videos played with potplayer are normal and the focus is not lost. However, the subsequent versions 26.40 and 26.50 both have the problem of losing focus when playing videos with potplayer.

So Potplayer behaves differently for different users? Maybe there is a setting in there. Anyway, I see nothing I could do here in XY.

The issue also exists on my computer with version 26.50, and I am not running PotPlayer. After switching to version 26.30, the issue was resolved.

Try to add the extensions of those videos to the tweak PreviewDocsFocusStealFixExt, e.g.:
