1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Ver 24.50.0000 will crash when right-clicking on a file during file copying

Post by ASD »

Hi,
I'm using the XYPlorer ver24.50.0000 (no install version) on the Windows 10.
Howerver, this version will crash when right-clicking on a file during file copying (sometimes).
Could you check this issue?

Hi, give a little more detail, please:

1) Is it right-clicking on the very file that is being copied? (So the file is quite large?)

2) How do you trigger the file copying (drag and drop? copy and paste?)?

3) What kind of copying is it? Windows shell copy, or XYplorer Custom Copy?

4) Is there any error message?

5) Does it also happen when you tick this: Configuration | General | Menus, Mouse, Usability | Context Menus | Hide shell extensions from shell context menu ?

Thaks for reply.

1.
No, I right-clicked on another file (However, behind the scenes, a large number of files are being copying to USB memory or USB to local SSD.).

2.
Right-clicking on a file while another file copy is running causes the application to freeze and crash.

3.
I'm using custom-copy of the XYPlorer.

4.
No error message. Application freezes for a few seconds and then crashes.

5.
This setting was turned off. I will turn it on and see it prevent causes problems.
