alias for favorite files and folders

I wish there was a way to provide an alias for a fav folder or file, and have that alias displayed on the menu instead on the actual path.
Some of my favorite files and folders paths are very long and they differ only by a couple of letters somewhere in the path, and they get truncated when shown on the Favorites menu, and they look the same, and I can't tell which is which.

This is presently handled via the Catalog! Add your entry, and simply put your alias as the caption and the path as the location...nothing could be easier!

For me captions for Favorites would be great, so I second this wish.

No actually the latest (I believe) on captions for Favorites is here, and I can't wait for that as well.

Not just to rename a few entries to something else/better for me than their full path, but to use scripts as well!
