Hi people.
Using Win10+XYplorer 24.20.0500 here, but have been experiencing this behavior on past versions as well.
When traversing folders in list view, sometimes a folder takes about 5 seconds or more to open, usually it's on the last folder or before that, and also sometimes when just creating a new folder and entering it.
It happens randomly.
Why is that happening and how to fix?
Thanks!

Re: Delay when traversing folders in list view
1) What do you mean by "traversing"?
2) What exactly do you do when you open folder? (E.g.: left-single-click the folder node in the tree)
3) Can you provide a screenshot showing all columns of the opened folder? (or is it not in Details view?)

Re: Delay when traversing folders in list view
For example, I have: "c:\folder1\folder2\folder3\folder4"
1) and 2) double-cliking a folder in the list view (on the right side, on the tabs)
3) Yes, it's details view.

Hmm, couldn't look more harmless.
Does it make a difference when you untick these two?:

Re: Delay when traversing folders in list view
The "Show Hover Box" is already unticked.
I unticked the "Show file info tips".
I restarted XYplorer, tested, but the problem still persists.
As I said earlier, this is totally random when it happens and where it happens, for example, I just restarted XYplorer again, opened the same folder, and it didn't happen.

Re: Delay when traversing folders in list view
I just read that article, XYplorer doesn't feel slow at all, on the contrary, it's lighting fast.
I completely disabled my AV (ESET) and tested, but the strange behavior still persists. It also happend when I used Avast in the past.
On my work where I use the free edition it never happened, the current AV is Kaspersky, but there were others AV in the past that I don't remember now, but never happened anyway. It didn't happen when using Win10 (now Win11).
Also, never happened when I used the free edition at home with Win10.

No more ideas at the moment. Maybe someone else can think of something else?
