Works fine here. Can you send me such a file per email? (s. https://www.xyplorer.com/#contact)

Not in this case. XY parses the OGG format natively. 8)

XY parses the OGG format natively
Then it doesn't work here as well, at least not without a codec (via k-lite)^^

I'm talking about the meta data, not the audio preview. If you have an OGG file that does not show the length in the Length (Special Property) column send it to me.

I think this is not about the special property, but the normal shell property (Select Property - Length), which requires a codec...

OK, looked deeper into the code:
1) XY tries to retrieve the length natively (and often succeeds!)
2) if it fails it looks in the extended system properties (which comes down to asking the codec)
3) number 2) only happens when tweak AudioPropsSecondTries=1!

So you are right, the user probably does not have the codec, OR (most likely) did not set the AudioPropsSecondTries tweak

If you want to take a look at a file that XY can not parse natively...

[Note that I added an important 3rd point above!]

Alarm.ogg can be read natively here. :veryconfused: This should work the same on ANY system. :eh:

I have the same problem with your file. I think it is the codec because Windows explorer show the length of MP3 without problems, but cannot show the length of ogg files.

I forgot to mention, I am using the 16.60 version.

Problem solved.
I installed the K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1385_Basic and it is working perfectly in Xyplorer and Windows Explorer.
Thanks everybody and a special thanks to highend user.

OK.

But again: With v21.50.0138 you don't need the codec pack. Not for showing the length.
