Context menu right-click on folder background

I found a lot of posts about right-clicking folder items, but not about right-clicking the folder background...

Is there a way of showing the normal Windows context menu when right-clicking the *background* of a file list? It seems that XYplorer completely replaces that context menu, so I'm missing some useful Git extensions, also missing the Windows "New" items.



I realise I can get those Git extensions by going up a level and right-clicking the folder item... but being inside the folder and right-clicking the background should show the same options. The XYplorer context menu which replaces it is not very useful to me. Is there a way to show the default Windows context menu there?

Ed: To be clear, this is what I mean by right-clicking the "background" vs right-clicking "items":

But you won't still get the real Windows Explorer menu.
Why not? Because some entries of it wouldn't make any sense in XYplorers context.

Not even the XY new menu shows. Can't it just show the default New menu? It's very handy, it shouldn't be removed.

You have Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | 64-bit Windows | Show the 64-bit context menu

Fair enough, thanks. However I haven't been able to get the windows "New" menu working there at all - only the XY "New" items. Is there a particular combination of settings which will get XY to show that normal "New" menu?

Or can it be accessed another way? A script menu perhaps?

As I said, XY has its own implementation of the New menu, you can't get the normal one.
At least not if you don't find any (cli) tool that can display it via scripting.
