2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

Frequent crashes

Post by BobbyBertrand »

V17.00.0200 on W10x64.

Recently upgraded using the licensed version. Constant XPLORER has ended i.e. crash. Can I collect debugging information to send to you?

This happens often, even if I leave a XYPLORER window open and am active on another window, I'll get a msg saying XYPLORER terminated. Never had this before, but recently upgraded and purchased a license.

Thanks.

The culprit is usually a 3rd party shell extension. Please see here: https://www.xyplorer.com/faq-topic.php?id=ctxcrash

I wasn't clear.

I have XYPLORER open and minimized. I'm interacting with Internet Explorer. I haven't touched the mouse/kb in 2 minutes, when I get a pop-up that XYPLORER has crashed.

Never had this on my previous version (FREE) - only since upgrading (recently) to the (PAID) version. Any debugging info I can provide - pls let me know.

Do you still believe it is a 3rd party Shell Extension? Any way to see which of these I have?

It's in the link Don posted.
ShellExView - Shell Extensions Manager - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html

And just to make sure I'm getting this right:
You are interacting with Internet Explorer. Without using the mouse / kb? Via speech recognition? Or do you mean: You have Internet Explorer open and it's the topmost window. You're doing nothing (maybe apart from reading the website). AND then XYplorer crashes (during doing nothing)?

Hi. My XYPlorer crashes pretty often on "+" (new tab) press - coffee cup, then silent crash. It happens through many program versions but there is no debug info in windows journals, XYPlorer also don't collect any internal debug logs.
What should I do?

Well, this only happens when using cracked licenses. Email me your license key for further investigation, please!
