Color of Tabs in Info Panel
Want to be able to color the active tab in Info Panel as in dim light the Bolded text is not sufficient. Found the way to Configuration | Colors and Styles but am not sure of the right one to pick.

Re: Color of Tabs in Info Panel
That would be great - a more distinctive look for the active info panel tab - but I doubt you can do it. Not with regular config settings, afaik, but I hope someone proves me wrong. Maybe there's an ini-tweak to make the active tab stand out more colorful? Anyone?

Re: Color of Tabs in Info Panel
You can set your colors of choice in Configuration > Colors and Styles, second column on the right (Tabs).
I picked now this red, so you can see how it's applied - but keep in mind that what you choose will color the active tab in Info Panel, but also the active tab in the Tab bar, so better select a pleasant color.

This does not work here, no matter what combinations I try, not even with default colors. My info panel sticks to the Windows scheme. Would you mind showing a screenshot of your config-dialog?
Re: Color of Tabs in Info Panel
Code: Select all
; Tweak: IP tabs: 0 = shadow style, 1 = classic style, 2 = flat style
TabIPVisualStyle=0( XYplorer.ini\[Settings]TabIPVisualStyle )

Makes no difference
- neither 0 nor 1 - info panel does not care
Re: Color of Tabs in Info Panel
This works for me:
Code: Select all
TabIPUseCustomColors=1Re: Color of Tabs in Info Panel
Right, forgot that one.

Re: Color of Tabs in Info Panel
Before doing anything are both these Tweaks to be implemented or just the second one?

Re: Color of Tabs in Info Panel
With TabIPVisualStyle= 0,1, or 2 you can get colored "normal" tabs above the list pane provided you have "Apply colors" checked in the Configuration under Colors & Styles | Colors | Tabs section, but to get the colored tabs in the IP, you have to use Dario's suggestion, TabIPUseCustomColors=1.
Re: Color of Tabs in Info Panel
Setting TabIPUseCustomColors=1 will cause the IP tabs to use the specified tab text colors.
To use the background colors as well you must also set TabIPVisualStyle to 0 or 1 to disable the flat styling.
The font color for the applied filters under 'Find Files' is controlled by the Marked Text 1 color.
To only apply the custom colors to the IP tabs leave Apply colors (TabUseCustomColors=0) unchecked.
To include the new tab and tab list buttons in your custom coloring set TabUseCustomColorsIncludePlus=1.
Sorry Ken - while your post is entirely correct I found it difficult to understand.

Re: Color of Tabs in Info Panel
No problem TheQwerty. My post wasn't that clear in that I did forget to mention that you can't have TabIPVisualStyle=2 [flat styling] and get the colored background for tabs in the IP. Thanks.

Re: Color of Tabs in Info Panel
One final wrinkle to iron out before attempting this. What Section do these Tweaks go in?

They are already in the ini. Search for them.
(XY keeps all possible keys in the ini file)

Thanks for the help everyone. My knowledge concerning tweaking is nebulous but after some hair pulling everything is now - as they used to say on NBC TV - In Living Color.
