There were a few in there, I deleted them. My issue persists but I'm pretty sure I just don't understand how to use these views properly to achieve my goal.

I sometimes change the size of xyplorer to fit certain workflows, and then the folder view just doesn't make sense. So I go to change it. Now I have a whole bunch of folders that have their own folder view; those are now no longer what I wish. What I want is my current folder view to be the default ...

I have somewhat similar issues with XY on my work laptop. It connects to work via VPN, and a batch file then maps my drives to work network locations. Very often do I get "currently not available" especially when doing other local stuff on the 2nd pane, at least a handful of times in a 2-3...

I gave XY a go about.. 3 years ago I think. I wasn't immediately convinced, but I was so fed up with wasting time in Windows Explorer that I forced myself to figure out the actual features of XY. Adding tags works as expected.

Anything you want me to try/provide, let me know please, I'll check in frequently. This isn't a huge deal, obviously, I just wanted to let you guys know and see if I can help at all figure this out. Thanks!

I had to edit this post. 2 things: Renaming tag.dat does not fix it. "Updating tags..." crashes still. I have never edited the file manually. Disabling "Copy tags on copy operations" fixes the issue, at least at first sight. I don't know what'll happen when "Updating tags......

Yes, I do code for a living :) And just as an aside, XY has saved me countless hours and removes a huge amount of frustration with Explorer etc. Love it. Anyway. Highend: All of those options are ticked. I've played with the first two, unticking them does not fix the issue.I'll play with the last 2....

This is the 2nd time this has happened to me with a different file set: I do a copy of a set of folders with each folder having a few files in them (137 files in 95 folders), the files are all very small. Total size 927KB. I copy that set over to another directory that has the same folder structure....
