Always start tabs in details view?
When going back to 7.90.0260 I noticed that every tab starts in details view, irrespective of what view (if any) that tab had previously. Is there any way to get 26.90.0300 (or later) to always start tabs in details view, irrespective of what view (if any) that tab had previously? If not, is there a...

Re: 'Backup To' 'Preserve all item dates'
Just tried again with version 26.90.0300 - now it works!
Maybe running 14.80.0200 and then 26.90.0300 made a difference?

Re: 'Backup To' 'Preserve all item dates'
This 'Backup To' was from an external USB HDD to an internal HDD. Of interest I had previously made the transfer from the same external USB HDD to an internal SSD on another computer running Windows 7 x86 and with a lower version of XY. The reason I tried again was in the hope that an up to date win...

'Backup To' 'Preserve all item dates'
When I configure 'Backup To' and select 'Preserve all item dates' I am finding that only files have their dates and times preserved. When I list the 3 files and 3 folders concerned in XY the status line refers to 6 items so it seems XY regards folders as being 'items' but does not preserve their dat...

Create Branch(es) Here
When using Create Branch(es) Here the modified date and time stamp of the folders in the target location is set to the current date and time when the branches were copied. As I see it the modified date and times should not be changed from what they were at the source location.. Changing the created ...

filenames shortened like this... or filenames shortened...like this?
Is it still possible for filenames to be clipped at the end (as it was?) rather then mid-way (as it is now?) If so, how?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Actions not recorded in Action Log
XY ver 20.90.0900 When selecting a folder from the tree listing to copy using the 'Backup To' feature the copy works fine, but there is one issue: The copy action does not appear in the Action Log. I think it might be the same with a 'Move To' of a folder selected in the tree listing, the move works...

Re: Files being listed twice in file listing, probably after sleep
Here's some more... Drive E: had no disk. I inserted a CD in the optical drive E:. Somewhere around this point I got this message: 2020-02-06_213711.jpg It was not immediately recognised by XY so I tried tabbing over to My Documents intending to tab back to E: I then got the message shown below. But...

Re: Files being listed twice in file listing, probably after sleep
I am trying the latest version. Upon waking after a long sleep I got the attached message box. An optical drive that had a disk in had had the disk removed. It seems that XY can normally deal with that alright though. The duplication of file names in the listing did not occur this time, although tha...

Re: Files being listed twice in file listing, probably after sleep
Just a quick update: 20.50.0300 Issue seems to affect 'Search Results' listing (only?). Sometimes the same file is repeated THREE times! Increased from one to two after one sleep/wake, and then increased from two to three after another sleep/wake. But did not increase from three to four after anothe...

Re: Using [Shift] [F8] to switch tree listing on and off causes error.
The configuration is completely unchanged. I just shut XY down, and then started it again. The problem had then gone. And so far so good, it hasn't come back as yet.

Re: Using [Shift] [F8] to switch tree listing on and off causes error.
I have now tried to replicate the same problem with 20.50.0300 and cannot. Many times on the same set of tabs and even the same instance of XY as before.
So would trying a fresh config really prove anything?

Using [Shift] [F8] to switch tree listing on and off causes error.
When I tried using [Shift] [F8] to switch the tree listing on and off I got this error: Error: -2147221008 (0x800401F0) Desc: Automation error CoInitialize has not been called. Files being listed twice in file listing, probably after sleep
Version 20.40.0000 I have found on a number of occasions that each file in the file listing is listed twice! I have not had much opportunity to investigate this but it seems to come about after the computer has gone to sleep and then woken up again. Also I think that there has also been two panes in...
