Re: Thumbnail while scrolling

Does it stop showing thumbnail creation messages? Ok, so I've been testing again right now with latest version 18.60, here's what I came up with. XYPlorer is indeed generating thumbnails in the background most of the time, but the issue only seems to manifest when browsing a folder for the first ti...

Re: Thumbnail while scrolling

I have also been experiencing this issue. Thumbnail generation is underway, some times if you scroll too fast past the currently generated part it stops generating and doesn't resume. You have to scroll back up to that point and down again to trigger thumbnail generation again. It happened, or at le...

Re: Shift-modified hotkeys some times not working

Hum, I believe that is not it, there must be something else, because it only happens in XYPlorer, and not in Windows Explorer, and also not with a clean profile. There must be some other setting or definition causing it, or something got corrupted somewhere in the profile or settings. Maybe a confli...

Re: Shift-modified hotkeys some times not working

Ok, nothing like reporting an error to figure out the cause of the problem. After a little more testing I seem to be able to recreate the problem reliably. It seems to be related to how "fast" I press the keys, If I press them too quickly it fails often. If I take the time to fully press t...

Shift-modified hotkeys some times not working

Hello everyone I've been having this particular issue on and off for a while now, through several versions up to current 17.40.0200. Some times some Shift-modified hotkeys fail to work for no apparent reason. So in short I used to have a hotkey Shift+D assigned to Miscellaneous / Go To / Open Folder...

Re: Thumbnails of 'portrait' pictures not shown correctly

Yeah, I've been having this problem too under windows 7 64bits, with all versions since I started using XYPlorer.
Switching from Tools Configuration > Thumbnails > Quality > High Speed to Fast seems to have solved the problem

Thanks for the help :)

Re: Fail copying Folders with period character on name

It's probably best if you don't waste too much time investigating this issue, there are way too many possible variables, least of which may be the very lackluster Windows Media Device drivers. Even basic operation of the phone with simple navigation is very skittish at best, it stops responding freq...

Fail copying Folders with period character on name

Hey guys, sorry to bother again. So I was in the process of doing some backups and manually copying some folders from my Android phone connected to the computer via Media Device. XYPlorer recognizes as copies most files/folders without issue, but there are some folders with period "." char...

Re: A few wishlist items I gathered throught my time with XY

Yes, that is basically how I would envision a functional breadcrumb bar too, I too love the "memory" feature that leaves the last visited sub directories visible, but that doesn't have to be gone. Basically clicking an empty area would toggle between text editing or clickable breadcrumb. I...

Re: A few wishlist items I gathered throught my time with XY

I guess those are somewhat a matter of personal preference, may not appeal to everybody. I find that Right Click>Refresh will require less mouse travel, especially from the lower pane. I end up using F5 instead so I don't have to look for the button in the toolbar. Editable breadcrumb would allow sa...

Re: A few wishlist items I gathered throught my time with XY

Hey yeah, yes you can! User Commands does the trick quite well. I don't specifically need to run from catalog, just a way to execute scripts in general with a keyboard shortcut, and I can create a user command from the the script, so that works wonderfully. Thanks for the suggestion Acecool, updatin...

A few wishlist items I gathered throught my time with XY

I've been using XYplorer happily for a few months now, and it is definitely the best file manager I've used so far, both on features, speed and buglessness After using FreeCommander and Nomad.net and NexusFile Manger before those for quite a few years here's a list of mostly minor stuff I've missed ...

Re: Script stopped working in 16.90.0100

Well ... ... in theory nothing should break user scripts, neither major nor minor upgrades. But in this case the old state was close to a bug so it needed to be changed. Reality 1, theory 0. Well apparently my scripts were really about to cross the line and asking for it, so they are probabl...

Re: Script stopped working in 16.90.0100

How a script could look like that works on multiple .eml files at once. Just execute the script when you are in the folder that contains these files... "Rename e-mail" setting "BackgroundFileOps", 0; $emlFiles = listfolder(<curpath>, "*.eml", 4); while ($i++ < gettoken...

Re: Script stopped working in 16.90.0100

You could replace your if / else construct with but ofc this only works for a single file check: Why are you defining $sentdate when you never use it? Please don't concatenate strings that aren't quoted Ah yes, my clear lack of skills is clearly showing here, much cleaner solution without the if, a...
