Re: Best photo viewer
There is a setting in the Thumbnails section to 'Create all thumbs at once' so that it generates for all images without having to scroll. And yes, the script goes into each folder and sets the view to Thumbnails #1 (if already in that view, then refresh). But like i said, you can have it run in a ba...

Re: Best photo viewer
how do you cope with speed ? XYplorer Thumbs fetching speed for a gallery of 1000s of images is slow compared to some other specialized sofwares that use mulithreading and SQL. its the only complaint i can make about XY though :) Are you caching the thumbnails? There's a setting in the Thumbnails s...

Re: Best photo viewer
I've been using Honeyview for a long time now. It's also very light and one feature it has that I didn't see immediately in Fastone Maxview is 'Zoom to Width', which I can't live withtout. Also, for quick viewing images, just having XY in Thumbnail only (without any filenames or anything) works like...

Re: Paper folders + subfolders + entry point
The way I'm understanding it is he wants the paper folder files (.txt) to be created wherever you want, not just in the default paper: folder. Which is actually the case right now, since you can create the .txt file anywhere. But I also had this wish, whereby you cannot just double click on the .txt...

Re: Folder Size using Everything SDK
Doesn't really have to be a hard dependency. Maybe something like the custom copy handlers? Like how you can offload the copy to TeraCopy currently.

Re: When I have countless tags, how should I organize them to make them more organized and easier to find
I have a system where I run a script to generate a bunch of paper folders for each "pattern" (string in filename in my case, but I guess you can make the search based on tags). Then you can browse the contents of your tags/labels just like a folder structure. I suppose it's not much differ...

Re: How to 'Open in Other Pane' when Shift is pressed?
Yeah, but that's only available in the tree, right? Unless there's someplace I can configure that for the List as well (to something like Alt-DblClick)?
On the list, there isn't a shortcut shown for the 'Open in Other Pane' context menu item like in the tree.

How to 'Open in Other Pane' when Shift is pressed?
I want a folder to "Open in other pane" if I double-click on it with Shift pressed. I tried this script for the CEA - Before Browsing a Folder: if(<get shift> == 1) { #1062; } It works, but it also does the default action of the "double-click". It there a way to "cancel"...

Re: Low Quality Thumbs for High Res Images
Yeah, should be enough.
But can't it be option d) like you mentioned originally, with 50MP being default? d) add a tweak to define the limit
Just to be future-proof.

Re: Low Quality Thumbs for High Res Images
That's great news! Thanks!
This particular image is from a website banner or something which is why the weird aspect ratio, but usually it's the original images from hq photography which gives the most problems.

Re: Low Quality Thumbs for High Res Images
For example the attached one: with 'crisp': crisp.png with 'high speed': highspeed.png The 'high speed' actually looks pretty decent here, but I don't want to set it as default because sometimes it produces blurry thumbs (not as bad as the 'crisp' one tho). I uploaded the full image to mega (too big...

Re: Low Quality Thumbs for High Res Images
Was this tweak ever implemented? I actually have this issue constantly. I have my default thumb set to Crisp, but images of ~> 6MB and 8000x4000 generate extremely low quality thumbs. Some things I noticed: The low quality thumbs get generated almost instantly Manually selecting and re-gening Crisp ...
