Re: Run-time error '9' Subscript out of range
Navigating to the directory with the mouse will not produce the same error. I have to type the directory directly in the path bar. The list view will not have updated yet. The directory I'm trying to navigating to has 144,732 sub directories. Capture1.5.PNG However, if I navigate to that directory w...

Run-time error '9' Subscript out of range
So, I get this popup message when I navigate to a directory with a large number of sub directories. This particular one shown in the screen shot has just over 144,000 sub-directories. I realize that seems excessive but that's the way it is. After I click OK the program crashes.

Re: Weird behavior in Raw View
File sent.
A slight nuance to the file I didn't notice right off, but the very first line did have a cr/lf, but the rest of the lines were all linefeed only. That may be what throws it all off.

Re: Weird behavior in Raw View
Ok, I can now repeat the problem again but I was able to do it with a much simpler file. It's basically a UNIX formatted text file. (End of lines are line feeds only rather than carriage return line feed combos.) But the files have to be pretty large still. This one was just a bit over 1 MB in size....

Re: Weird behavior in Raw View
The font style was "Heavy Font". Unfortunately I can't share the files that do this. But they are mostly binary data, and are over 4 MBs in size. Shortly after I wrote that post, the IT department took away my computer and replaced with a different one so I don't have the same HW and OS co...

Weird behavior in Raw View
This isn't a really a problem, just a weird behavior with the "Raw View" that I thought was notable. On certain files with really long lines, they will wrap back over the top of themselves. This all goes away when "word wrap" is selected. attached image of what it looks like.

Re: Crashing after a period of being idle
I'm happy report that I've had no crashes after that.

Re: Crashing after a period of being idle
I found something! I hit the "debug" button instead of "close" to see if visual studio could show me any clue of what shell extension I could try to disable first. What I found was unexpected. The DLL in the call stack pointed to an obscure hex editor I used to use that was still...

Re: Crashing after a period of being idle
Ok, this is something I can try. So far I've had a window open for several days and the only thing I haven't done is any right clicks on anything to bring up a context menu. Any other window I had open I've gotten it to crash pretty quickly in some way if I do a right click on a file or in the direc...

Re: Crashing after a period of being idle
I haven't been able to reproduce it with the same actions. This is appearing very random. Still working on it.

Re: Crashing after a period of being idle
The latest crash I had actually been viewing text and binary files with .dat extensions. All of this was with "Raw View". When I was clicking on the tree view to move between some directories I was looking at these files in, it crashed. There were no .pdf files.

Re: Crashing after a period of being idle
I don't recall previewing PDFs but I may have clicked on a PDF file. The view window that I always keep open is the "Raw View" so I would have only "previewed" the PDF file in the "Raw View". I'll keep an eye on what files I've clicked on.

Crashing after a period of being idle
Ever since 16.20 it seems I've been getting a weird crashing situation I haven't been able to figure out. I'm currently on 16.20.0300 with the Lifetime License Pro. I'm not really sure when it happens because I'm not currently using the application at the moment it crashes. I switch to it only to fi...

Re: Check Box Selection behavour change not expected V15.00
I use checkbox mode exclusively. I assume many will find the change made with v15 beneficial but I do not. For some reason inline renaming doesn't work in this mode anymore (even when the checkbox is selected). Also, I loved clicking anywhere on whitespace to uncheck my checkbox selection(s) but th...
