Re: Context Menu Entry Missing
I was using V3 a couple of years ago and I think to remember that I had a similar problem with that when I started to use it on 64bit Windows. But I believe that they fixed it. That's why I asked which version of BC he uses, but he never answered that. There is also mentioned on the BC page, that a ...

Re: Context Menu Entry Missing
Sorry, but I did not make it clear: I'm using 64bit BC and XY together without problems. 64bit BC installs both 32bit and 64bit context menus.

Re: Context Menu Entry Missing
After looking around on the BC homepage I found these two links very interesting: http://www.scootersoftware.com/support.php?zz=kb_shellex https://www.scootersoftware.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?14482-BC-4-1-beta-x64-installs-in-Program-Files-%28x86%29-when-upgraded/page2&highlight=32bit I have...

Re: How do you want to open this file NO MATTER WHAT
Could it be UAC (User Access Control) which is prohibiting file type associations? I don't have Windows 10, but in older Windows versions file type associations don't stick when UAC is enabled and your program (XYplorer in this case) is not elevated.

Re: List view file icons missing after tab go home command
Thank you, SammaySarkar. Re-setting the home locations with the proper view solved my problem.SammaySarkar wrote:Or maybe your home location has an FVS saved.

List view file icons missing after tab go home command
This is at least since 16.20.0200 (currently I'm using 16.30.0011): When you now use the "Go home" command (per mouse or keyboard) on a tab, the list view returns to the home folder, but no file icons are displayed. Changing the folder fixes this.

Re: 16.10 font change
It's not the font size, which has changed. But the distance between lines has changed between v16.00 and 16.20. Windows 7x64, XYplorer v16.20.0007, Font: Tahoma 8,25.

Re: icon overlays
(...) I first checked the ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers reg key of course, but only the 32 bit one, I didn't know about the Wow6432Node mechanism. I read the SU post linked above, checked the Wow6432Node values, (...) Don't mix it up, what appears to be the normal 32 bit part is the 64 bit registry. ...

Re: Xyplorer in vmware (virtual)
I think I've found a way to create new folders in the Program Folders: Instead of using the "New Folders" (Ctrl+N) command, right click in the Program Folder, select "New Items" and from the popup menu click the "New" item with the folder symbol. This will trigger the U...

Re: Xyplorer in vmware (virtual)
Hello Ron and welcome to the board. This behavior has nothing to do with VMware, it is by design, as Microsoft calls it. Network shares are user centered, when you run XY as administrator it is a different user, who doesn't see the share the original user could see. You can find more information her...

The same combination (with XY 11.40.0003) is working fine here. I also had 11.40.0000 for a couple of days w/o any problems.

Re: XYplorer Hangs While Selecting Mkv Files
Could be connected to File Info Tips. Try to disable them to see if it makes any difference. Yes that appears to be the culprit. Do I have to keep the Tips disabled or is there a way around this or will you be able to fix it in the future? Thanks I remember having a similar problem a couple of year...
