Re: Bulk move files from multiple folders to single folder

Of course you can. Simply move them and you'll get a prompt with a choice: Yes: Recreate the source folder structure (relative to ...) in the target folder. This will avoid any collisions. No: Merge all source items in the target folder (...). When you say move them, are you talking about moving th...

Bulk move files from multiple folders to single folder

I have searched for this, but the search terms were so common, that I couldn't seem to find anything helpful. Thus, please accept my apologies in advance if this has already been addressed elsewhere. I am wanting to see if there is a way to bulk move files from multiple folders to a single folder. E...

Re: Noob question regarding Info / Preview Pane orientation

Well, I finally bit the bullet and bought an unlimited license and upgraded from 10.80 to 11.50. Has anything changed with respect to having previews on the side since 10.80? If so, how do I set that up?

Thanks...

Dropbox Copy Public Link Parameters for Toolbar Button

I am wanting to create a button for my toolbar or a user command to execute the command from DropBox for Windows to "Copy Public Link". Does anyone know the parameters for that context menu item? I haven't been able to figure it out.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Re: Share your buttons!

Thank you so much.

I was closer than I thought, which makes me feel a little better. I just didn't get the fact that I could put an icon path after the "|" character.

I really appreciate your help!

Re: Share your buttons!

The undocumented and unofficial command ::snippet is better than this, see here: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?p=58494#p58494 BTW, what button do want to create and what should be on left and right click? Actually, I think I figured it out. It seems to be working now. One problem I am ...

Re: Adding Spaces in a Batch Rename User Command

Okay, I finally figured out the problem -- it is an interaction with a text expander I use called ActiveWords (http://activewords.com). Somehow, when the XYp command runs it is triggering an ActiveWord string. ActiveWords, however is indispensable in my workflow, so I need to figure out what is call...

Re: Adding Spaces in a Batch Rename User Command

Thank you for the info. Your XYplorer version isn't quite the latest, could you try the latest beta from here ? (In general, XYplorer beta's are quite safe.) Also, could you try with a clean profile by following the steps described here ? Well, I tried the "virgin" install test and still ...

Re: Adding Spaces in a Batch Rename User Command

System Specs:
  • XYp 10.80.0200

Files I am attempting to rename are located on a server, but the same occurs on my desktop hard drives (of which there are 6)

Adding Spaces in a Batch Rename User Command

I am having a a terrible time figuring out what should be a fairly small task. I am trying to create a user defined command which would rename file(s) as a batch rename without preview as follows: Filename : File.txt Desired Rename : File - 02-21-12.txt I can accomplish this with the standard batch ...

Re: Drag & Drop image from Firefx 3.5.5 to list view fails

Has there been any progress on this bug? I am using 10.80.0200 and still get the error message when trying to drag and drop from Chrome and FFX.

Just curious if anyone has come up with any fixes.

Noob question regarding Info / Preview Pane orientation

I have searched the forum but have not found any answers to my seemingly noob question, thus I'll go ahead and ask away. Is it possible to move the preview / info pane to the right side of XYp (or otherwise display it vertically) rather than on the bottom? It would make it much easier for me to view...
